The full step-by-step list is here: car accident checklist.
Adding or removing a vehicle or driver, a new address, a new lienholder, more coverage, or a cancellation: tell us and we will prepare it.
A change is not in effect until a licensed agent at CoverToday or your insurance company confirms it to you in writing. A voicemail, text, email or social media message does not change your coverage by itself, and neither does a message left after hours, on a weekend or on a holiday.
Need a change right away and cannot reach us? Contact your insurance company directly at the number on your policy or ID card.
To give you an accurate price, we and the insurance companies we quote may collect information about you and the other drivers or residents in your household from sources other than you. This can include your driving record, your insurance claims history, vehicle and property records and, where the law of your state allows it, insurance credit information. A quote does not affect your credit score.
In some cases the law allows this information to be shared with others without your prior authorization, for example with insurance companies, their service providers and insurance-support organizations, to quote, place and service your insurance. We do not sell your information.
You have the right to see the personal information we have about you and to ask us to correct it.

Tell us first: (310) 299-5555 or info@covertoday.com. Most problems are a missing document or a misunderstanding, and we can usually fix them quickly.
You may also contact your state's department of insurance at any time. In California, the Department of Insurance consumer hotline is 1-800-927-4357.
A new car, a new driver, a new address or a new business all change what you need. We will review your policy free, in English or Russian.

If anyone is hurt, call 911. Then report the claim to your insurance company's claims line, which is printed on your insurance ID card and policy. After that, call or text us at (310) 299-5555 and we will help you through the next steps. Reporting only to your broker can delay the claim.
A change, such as adding a vehicle or driver, changing an address or cancelling, is in effect only when a licensed agent at CoverToday or the insurance company confirms it to you in writing. A voicemail, text or email by itself does not change your coverage. If you need a change after hours and cannot reach us, contact your insurance company directly.
No. An insurance quote is not a loan application and does not lower your credit score. Where state law allows it, insurance companies may use insurance credit information to price a policy. California does not allow credit to be used to price auto insurance.
To give an accurate price, we and the insurance companies we quote may check your driving record, your insurance claims history, vehicle and property records and, where your state allows it, insurance credit information. We tell you this before we quote, and the full notice is at covertoday.com/notice.
CoverToday is an independent broker and is usually paid a commission by the insurance company. Depending on the company, we may also charge a broker fee. We always tell you the exact amount in writing before you buy, and you sign for it.
Do not wait. Pay the insurance company directly before the date on the notice, keep the confirmation, and call us the same day at (310) 299-5555. If the notice asks for a document or a photo instead of a payment, send it to us right away so we can pass it to the company.
Call, text or email us with your name and policy number. For a business certificate, send the certificate holder's exact name and address and any wording your contract requires. A certificate shows your policy as it is today; it does not change the coverage.
Tell us first at (310) 299-5555 or info@covertoday.com, and we will try to fix it. You can also contact your state's department of insurance at any time. In California the Department of Insurance consumer hotline is 1-800-927-4357.
